Christopher Axe — Communication & Creative Leadership
01 — Experience
Communication shaped by experience
For more than 36 years, I have worked in international automotive design, creative leadership and studio management. My professional career has taken me across Europe and Japan, working with Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group, SEAT and Mitsubishi Motors.
The United States also played an important formative role in my development. I went to school in Detroit, Michigan, and during my design studies in the UK I completed a design internship with Chrysler Pacifica in California. Living and studying in the heart of the American automotive industry gave me valuable first-hand experience of its design culture and a lasting understanding of working across different cultures and perspectives.
I later served as Head of Exterior Design at SEAT and as Tokyo Studio Head for Mitsubishi Motors. These roles involved far more than designing vehicles. They required me to present ideas clearly, explain complex creative decisions, lead international teams and build confidence around proposals that were often new, unfamiliar or challenging.
Throughout my career, I have seen that a strong idea is only as influential as the way it is communicated.
02 — Coaching
From creative leadership to professional communication
My coaching draws directly on this experience.
I work with professionals who want to communicate with greater clarity, confidence and impact—whether they are preparing an important presentation, explaining a complex idea, working across cultures or developing a stronger professional presence.
This is particularly valuable for people working in design, technology, consulting and other international environments where specialist knowledge must be translated into language that others can understand, trust and act upon.
For professionals communicating in English as an additional language, the goal is not to remove personality or pursue artificial perfection. It is to develop the confidence, structure and delivery needed to express ideas naturally and convincingly.
03 — Approach
A practical and personal approach
My approach is based on real professional situations rather than traditional language tuition.
We begin with the challenge in front of you: a presentation, meeting, interview, portfolio review, difficult conversation or important proposal. Together, we strengthen the message, clarify the structure and work on how it is delivered.
This can include
- 01Presenting complex ideas with clarity
- 02Speaking with greater confidence and authority
- 03Structuring a persuasive presentation or professional story
- 04Communicating effectively in international environments
- 05Developing stronger delivery, pacing and presence
- 06Preparing for an interview, meeting or important conversation
- 07Turning specialist knowledge into a message that connects with its audience
Every programme is shaped around the individual, the situation and the desired result.
04 — Purpose
Ideas need to move people
My career has been built around creativity, leadership and communication. I understand the pressure of presenting an idea that will be questioned, judged or compared with competing proposals. I also understand how much difference the right preparation can make.
My purpose is to help professionals communicate in a way that feels clear, credible and authentically their own—so that strong ideas do not remain unheard.
05 — Start the right conversation
